Uzbekistan e-Visa requirements, documents and validity

Review eligibility, passport and photo rules, required documents, entry types, permitted stay, processing and entry conditions.

What is the Uzbekistan e-Visa?

The e-Visa is an electronic visa for eligible foreign citizens travelling to Uzbekistan. The application is completed electronically and, when approved, the e-Visa is issued as a PDF and delivered by email.

Who can apply?

Eligibility depends on citizenship and travel document. The electronic procedure checks whether the traveller is visa-free, eligible for the simplified e-Visa process, or should use another visa route.

Visa-free and non-eligible travellers

A traveller covered by a visa-free arrangement does not need an e-Visa. A nationality outside the simplified electronic procedure may need to use the appropriate consular route. Because eligibility lists can change, the form avoids presenting an unverified static public list.

Special rule for citizens of Vietnam

Vietnamese citizens aged 55 or older are covered by a visa-free regime for tourism visits not exceeding 30 days. The application displays a specific notice when the supplied nationality and date of birth match this rule.

Passport requirements

Use a valid travel document and enter all personal information in English exactly as shown in it. The traveller must enter Uzbekistan with the same passport or travel document used for the e-Visa application.

Dual or multiple citizenship

A traveller holding two or more citizenships should apply using the nationality and passport they intend to present when entering Uzbekistan. A mismatch can make the issued e-Visa invalid.

Entry types

The electronic visa is available as single entry, double entry or multiple entry. Purpose of visit is set to tourism in this application.

Travel dates and permitted stay

The application requests intended arrival and departure dates. The period of stay must not exceed 30 days. Application and expiry dates generated by the electronic system are not questions for the traveller.

Required documents

The application requires a facial photograph and an electronic copy of the main data page of the travel document. No standard hotel-booking, flight-ticket, invitation, bank-statement, insurance or supporting-document upload is included.

Passport image requirements

The passport biographical page must be readable and show the photograph and personal information. Published guidance specifies a file of no more than 500 KB, but this form accepts the available image for later preparation.

Photo requirements

Provide a clear, recent passport-style facial photograph. The published standard refers to ICAO Document 9303 recommendations. The form does not reject a usable image merely because it needs cropping, resizing or conversion.

Application information required

The form collects citizenship, entry type, travel dates, names and name-change details, sex, date and place of birth, passport series and number, issue and expiry dates, permanent address, work or study and position, telephone, email and preliminary residence in Uzbekistan.

Name changes

Previous surname is requested only when the applicant confirms a surname change. Previous given names are requested only when the applicant confirms a given-name change.

Contact and accommodation information

Place of work or study and position remain one field. Preliminary residence in Uzbekistan is collected as text; a hotel booking upload is not part of the standard individual flow.

Information must be in English

Personal and passport details should be entered in English and must match the travel document intended for entry.

Processing time

The electronic processing range is 1–3 working days.

Email verification and result

An accessible email address is required because the electronic process uses email verification and sends the approved PDF result electronically. Technical activation codes are handled as workflow data and are not immigration questions in this form.

Application status

Application status can be checked electronically. When approved, the e-Visa is sent to the applicant by email in PDF format.

Entry requirements

At the border, present the valid passport or travel document used for the application together with the valid e-Visa. The e-Visa may be presented in printed or electronic form.

During the stay

Travellers should keep both the valid travel document and e-Visa accessible while staying in Uzbekistan, not only when crossing the border.

Important restrictions

Any discrepancy between the issued e-Visa and the passport can invalidate the e-Visa. Travel with the same document and nationality selected in the application.

Application refusal

Applicants are responsible for accurate information. Incorrect, unreliable or inconsistent details may result in refusal. A refusal notification may direct the traveller to the appropriate alternative visa route.

Important travel information

Before travel, compare every detail on the issued e-Visa with the passport. Keep the e-Visa available throughout the journey and use the same nationality and document selected during the application.
